Over the past two decades, I’ve placed hundreds of professionals into their dream jobs, and provided executive search and professional development advice to numerous hiring managers just like you, creating successful matches that continue to this day.

During the recession in the early 1990’s, followed by some very heady years in the 2000’s, and back to the great recession a few years ago, I found that many of my executive search clients often felt that they were settling for mediocre to average level hires because of inefficient processes and inferior hiring practices and recruiting efforts.  Throughout this time, I felt it was critical to cut through much of the fluff that was being put in the way of a great hire, cut to the chase, be up front with both management and the candidates, leading to a smoother and easier hiring process for all involved, saving time and $ along the way.  A few years ago I founded Compass Points Advisors, LLC so I could share with my clients that much more direct approach, along with the information and expertise I’d gained during my many years of combining recruiting and coaching skills.

I graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Economics and remain very active in the school’s Alumni Affairs Group and Career Services Center; I also currently collaborate with NYU to provide career advice to their students and alumni. I’ve been a keynote speaker and panelist at career seminars and have been quoted in a wide array of publications, spreading the word that executive recruiters can also be retained to provide added value…job market data, insider information, advice on how to make great hires, and coaching tactics that will help you retain that great talent once you add them to your team.

In addition to being a serial advice provider and idea generator (always happy to offer my two cents!), I enjoy playing ice hockey, softball, golf, guitar and piano, and recently took my love of comedy to the next level by performing stand-up routines at New York City’s famous Gotham Comedy Club: a great way to conquer your fears!

I live in Manhattan and have a wonderful wife and three amazing children.
